For this month’s NoveList Kids & Books newsletter, I wrote about some nonfiction books that might be found on the shelves in the Capitol’s training room library in Catching Fire and imagined what books might circulate in the resistance’s reading room.
To go with the article, I also made a What Would Katniss Read? graphic that outlines some of the appeal factors for Catching Fire and indicates what 2013 new releases in post-apocalpytic and dystopian ya fiction might please fans of The Hunger Games trilogy. I wanted to update my Hunger Games read-alikes flowchart with new titles, but then decided it would be a great opportunity to try out a new format for reader’s adviosry graphics.
